Saturday Photo Hunt: Water

Good thing I don't have time to obsess over WHICH water photo today...obviously this theme is right up my alley! This is the spillway for our beloved Cedar Creek Reservoir. I posted a different photo of it for CDP's Water Theme on April 1.

Sunset cruise

We've had some dreary-looking days and some terrible thunderstorms this week, so I just needed a reminder about how beautiful it was this past weekend and how beautiful it will be again soon! Sunday evening we took a little cruise on a friend's boat. (Thanks F&P!). It's nice to be able to ride with someone else and get the opportunity to shoot pictures. I would advise against leaving a pager in your shirt pocket when you lean over the edge of the boat looking for that "odd shot", tho.....

Shot out the window as I crossed the bridge. I decided that was safer than stopping on a bridge!

Windy day on the water....

Quite rough today but here's a brave little wood duck taking her new babies out for a swim. They are so skittish that I had to really zoom, so it's not very clear. I counted 5 babies but there may be more. We've seen them with up to 15.

There's nothing like a reflection on the water to enhance all things beautiful. Life is good on the lake!

April 1 Theme Day is Water . . .

That theme is right up my alley. Hmmmm. Shall I dig out an old favorite or run around trying to get some new shots? Never pass up a good excuse to run around taking pictures, right? To quote Forrest Gump...That's my boat!
