I'm not a morning person. Never have been. But thanks to all of you sky watchers and bloggers out there, I'm really learning to appreciate it when I have to get up early! I shot this just down the road from our house and I couldn't wait until Friday to share it! You may need to click to enlarge it. I was concentrating on the sun itself and missed the light feathery foliage in the foreground until I uploaded it.

You're right, LL, it's a beautiful catch! Love the softness of the back-lit plumage and the pastels in the clouds all set against the hard, confining barbed wire fence.

That is a beautiful shot..I too am a night owl. I wasn't when I was younger, but am now....
I am forced to do morning and evening sometimes. The light is definitely the best. It's another lovely shot and I'm glad you got the wire fence in,really gives it perspective.
