Photo Hunt Theme --- Time

TnChick moderates a Saturday theme called Photo Hunt. This Saturday, the subject is "Time". Those of us who moved to the lake from more fast-paced cities (primarily Dallas/Ft Worth, it seems) have had to learn to adjust to a different pace here. It can be frustrating for "week-enders" but once you've settled in, you find that the pace here is much healthier! We call it "Learning to live on Lake Time". Now when we go to the big city, we can hardly wait to get out of their traffic and get HOME! This was taken with my new PDA/phone/camera, so I apologize for the quality. Thank you to D&C for sharing your home and dinner and decor!

Nice clock!

Yep, living in the country is different. The first thing I noticed when I moved from a population of 200,000 to a population of 4,000 was how polite all the drivers were. They had time to let one another pass.

Mine is here: http://aliceaudrey.wordpress.com/2008/05/02/times-up/

Love the picture!! I'm going to guess that Lake time is similar to Hawaiian time :)

Mine is up over at Flo's Place

Well, Flo....it's slow and there's water involved...but somehow I think that might be only comparison between this area and Hawaii! ;-) Thanks for stopping by!

I love slow-down time. My mother lives on an island and always jokes about island time--like lake time. I live up in the woods--same thing. MB

Hi Lake Lady, thank you for your nice comment on my Villigen CH blog where life is on the calmer side! The macro photos of flowers will be appearing off and on, and I hope there will be a few to delight you!

I found, after moving here, that it isn't just the pace, it's the rhythm that is different from city living. It took me a year to embrace those rhythms and finally begin to relax. I can even tell, now, who comes from where by the way they either race or meander through the grocery store.
